Rhodes asks Kansas City what they want to talk about and then suggests they could talk about WrestleMania. He expresses his respect for Roman Reigns, calling him the greatest champion in both sports and sports entertainment. He says he’s looking forward to beating Reigns in Los Angeles, California, then clarifies that he doesn’t want to talk about something, but rather someone. He then invites Kevin Owens to the ring.
Owens’ music hits after a few punches and he marches down to the ring. He tells Rhodes that he thinks he knows what Rhodes wants to say. Rhodes cuts him off and says this isn’t just a conversation between two people. He says the other side should be involved before he calls Sami Zayn out.
Zayn’s music hits and he appears with a smile on his face. Rhodes says he’s going to pull back the curtain and tells Owens he has an incredible amount of respect for him. He explains that when he left WWE in 2016, he needed contacts and help. He says Owens offered him one and improved his livelihood. He tells Owens that he can never pay him back, but is at least partially trying to do so for now.
Owens says he’s heard everything Zayn has to say, but Zayn cuts him off and says that while it may be, Owens hasn’t said everything he needs to say. Zayn says that even though the two have hurt each other many times, they have always managed to forgive each other. He says he doesn’t understand why this time is different and then tells Owens to get the most out of his system.
Owens asks Rhodes if he got what he wanted so he can leave and Rhodes says they all know they’re people pleasers. Rhodes says it doesn’t matter what he wants to see, it’s what the fans want: Owens and Zayn on the same page. Zayn says the fans want to see them team up again and that’s what he wants. He says that the two of them could do something magical and remarkable together, adding that they could be the ones to take down The Bloodline. He says they don’t need to be friends, but to work as a unit. Owens says he heard everything Zayn said and says he understands, but asks why he’s fighting for someone who doesn’t want to be his friend. Owen thanks Rhodes for what he tried to do, then exits the ring and heads to the back.
Back from the break, we see Owens exit the arena and head towards his car. Zayn catches up to him and says to forget everything that has happened. He tells Owens that they’re not just friends, they’re brothers. He tells Owens if he never wants to talk to him, that’s fine, but lets him know he loves him. Owens gets in his car and drives off as a dejected look takes over Zayn’s face.
Back at ringside, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio head down. Santos Escobar and Zelina Vega follow.
