Gina Rodriguez was seen for the first time since giving birth to her first child, taking a walk with the newborn in Los Angeles, California on Saturday afternoon.
Enjoying a leisurely stroll, the 38-year-old Jane the Virgin star wore a white baby harness strapped to her front, keeping the newborn close.
The first-time mother kept a tight grip on her toddler’s back and could be seen looking down at her baby, who she kept bundled up under a white blanket embroidered with farm animals.
For her casual outing, the Golden Globe winner wore a black t-shirt, leggings, Nike sneakers, glasses and her wavy brunette locks in a low ponytail.
She and her husband Joe Locicero have not publicly announced the birth of their baby, whose gender and name are still unknown.
Rodriguez, who first announced she was expecting her 38th birthday in July, was last seen with her baby bump on January 25.
“This birthday happens to be different,” she captioned a video of herself holding a positive pregnancy test.
Gina’s announcement video opened with a sweet shot of her and Joe kissing while out in nature with their dogs, followed by a clip of them nodding and nodding their heads together outdoors with a snow-capped mountain in the distance.
Gina is best known for portraying the title role in the acclaimed CW series Jane The Virgin from 2014 to 2019.
In 2016, they met on set, and in 2018, she revealed that she was engaged. The lovebirds got married in 2019.
Joe has tried various careers, including acting and modeling, and has even worked as an MMA fighter.
In January 2016, Gina admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her acting in Jane The Virgin had given the baby a fever.
– I feel like they’re bringing a baby [playing her son] me and my ovaries are like, “Ahhhh, come here baby!” he joked to the host.
At the time, she said she was considering adoption to avoid “the whole process” of being pregnant.
‘I want one. So bad. I do, but I don’t want the whole process,” he admitted. “I just want one to come in like a stork chat, right?”
Elsewhere in their chat, he joked that he would never have to work with crying babies because a new baby actor would be replaced whenever the actor he was holding started crying.
She played the title character in Jane The Virgin, a woman who accidentally gets the wrong procedure at her gynecologist’s office, where she is artificially inseminated.
At first, she can’t believe she could be pregnant because she’s a virgin, and even after a major life change, she still has to navigate her relationship with her longtime boyfriend and the biological father of her child.
The show was critically acclaimed and earned Gina a Golden Globe Award in 2015 for Best Actress in a Television Series Comedy or Musical.
